| This musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice explores the life of one of the most influential women of the 20th Century, Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator, Juan Peron. The production begins with the young ambitious Eva and follows her methodic rise to wealth and power of the dynamic, larger-than-life persona of Evita. The story deals with the political situations, power relationships and the means by which Eva Peron became the beloved Evita, achieving psuedo-sainthood in her homeland. |
