Her strong song writing and performance abilities have had her performing on the CBC Television Special "Shades Of Blue", Later The Same Day, the Dini Petty Show, Breakfast TV, Global TV's News At Noon and hosting her own Rogers Cable TV show. Gayle Ackroyd has won many songwriting awards from Factor and the Toronto Arts Council. She also made it to the top 10 in the Mix 99.9 songwriting competition. Gayle released the "Hard Luck Town" cassette in 1994 and the CD "Anything But Blue" in 1998 distributed in Canada by Festival (1-800-633-8282). Depending on the venue, her repertoire includes interesting covers from various artists and/or Gayle Ackroyd originals. Her show is entertaining and fast paced, balanced with some soulful ballads.
