11 / 04: Urinetown
has just been extended to September 4, 2004. Some production
photos have been posted on the site.

11 / 04: The cast of Urinetown will make a live national appearance
on CTV's Canada
AM on Friday June 18, 2004 between 8:30 and 9 am (EST),
performing "Run Freedom Run".
- March
26 / 04: Michael has been cast in Urinetown,
the Canadian premiere of Tony
Award winning Broadway production. It officially opened on May 27th
with a limited run to July 11, 2004. He plays the role of Robby the
Stockfish and Business Exec #1. Michael is also understudy for the
male lead, Officer Lockstock. Directed by John Rando [winner
of the 2002 Tony for Best Director (Musical)] and choreographed by John
Carrafa [2002 Tony Nominee], CanStage's
production of Urinetown sold out several shows in their week of previews.

20 / 04: Michael was cast in a workshop/reading of new musical comedy
called Plane Crazy by Suzy Conn. It deals with the airline
industry of the 60's, "when the stews were sexy and the world was
sexist." It is humorous look at the battle of the sexes and the
conflict arising from the sexual politics and mores of business and
love relationships in light of a growing awareness of the new feminist
perspective. Michael took the role of Sam Crenshaw, the old-school President
of Venus Airlines, in this workshop/rehearsal process that culminated
in an invited performance on March 30, 2004.
- In
February 2004, Michael was thrilled to return to Newfoundland to work
as producer / host for Rogers
Television coverage of the East
Coast Music Awards. As EFP producer and host, he covered the ECMA
showcases, interviewing musicians at the event to supplement Rogers
Television's live coverage of the 72-hour Jam.
