  • July 22, 2005 - Last night's taping of the Carol Smith Something Special Show pilot episodes at the CBC Radio Drama Studio 212 in downtown Toronto could not have been more successful. Along with the talented cast and technical crew (which featured live sound effects artist Anton Szabo of Royal Canadian Air Farce Radio show fame), Michael performed a wide variety of characters before the very appreciative live studio audience. This radio comedy event, featuring the opening act, Swing Rosie, an Andrews Sisters-styled jazz / swing trio, offered just over 2 hours of comedy to the studio audience who responded with hearty laughter and raucous applause. On August 5th, the team heads to Los Angeles to complete the recordings of the celebrity guest and musical guest portions of the show.

After the Toronto tapings, Michael will then head to Los Angeles in August with the comedy troupe to complete the tapings for three pilot shows.
